Sungroh Yoon is a Senior Engineer at Intel Corporation, Santa Clara, CA. Prior to joining Intel in 2006, he was a Postdoctoral Scholar in the departments of Electrical Engineering and Genetics at Stanford University, Stanford, CA. Sungroh Yoon held summer positions at Synopsys Inc., Mountain View, CA in 2002 and 2003. He received the Ph.D. degree and M.S. degree in electrical engineering from Stanford University and the B.S. degree in electrical engineering from Seoul National University, Korea.

Dr. Yoon has research interests in high-performance computing systems and their applications to biomedicine, in particular, computer-aided design and analysis of high-throughput biochip systems and machine-learning applications in computational biology and bioinformatics.
