More Information about MeSH Terms:

MeSH is the National Library of Medicine's controlled vocabulary thesaurus. These terms are used by NLM for indexing articles from 4800 of the world's leading biomedical journals for the MEDLINE/PubMed database. It is also used for the NLM-produced database that includes cataloging of books, documents, and audiovisuals acquired by the Library. The MeSH terms are continually revised and updated by NLM subject specialists at NLM.

New Feature: PDF Banner

Also known as the PDF Wrapper, this feature produces a web banner at the top of every downloaded PDF.  From here, you be able to link back to IEEE Xplore or to www.ieee.org for convenient website navigation. The banner will only appear on the article when it is being viewed from IEEE Xplore. It will not appear on saved or printed versions.

The banner will also have a “Brought to you by” message for institutional subscribers.   Another feature requested by many of our valued customers, it will also make institutional branding more prominent to users.

New Feature: PDF Stamping

Also known as PDF Watermarking, this feature marks each page of every downloaded PDF with a unique imprint containing the date and time of download and member or institution name. This stamp will appear on the electronic version and printed version of an article.

Example:
Authorized licensed use limited to: ABC Corporation. Downloaded on September 13, 2008 at 15:49 from IEEE Xplore. Restrictions apply.

A feature requested by many of our valued customers, this will make institutional branding prominent to users so it is clear that the full-text article is funded by their institution. It also assures users that they are accessing the authorized version of the article.
