The AIP/AVS Applied Physics Library consists of 5 journals published by the American Institute of Physics (AIP) and AVS. It provides subscribers with unlimited access to more than a quarter million documents from five the top journals in applied physics, including archives dating back to 1930.

The AIP/AVS journals are fully integrated into IEEE Xplore and subscribers have unlimited full-text access to the AIP/AVS content, including the complete backfile for these titles. Publications included in this subscription are: Applied Physics Letters, the Journal of Applied Physics, and Review of Scientific Instruments (published by the AIP); and the Journal of Vacuum Science and Technology A: Vacuum, Surfaces and Films and the Journal of Vacuum Science and Technology B: Microelectronics and Nanometer Structures (published by the AVS).

4. My institution already has a subscription on AIP's ScitationTM platform to some of the journals included in the AIP/AVS Applied Physics Library. Can I access my Scitation subscription through IEEE Xplore?

No, IEEE Xplore and AIP's Scitation platform are separate platforms with their own authentication systems that are not able to recognize the subscription rights from external sites. If you subscribe to AIP journals on both sites, you will need to go to the corresponding site to access your content.
